Formed in 2003, the Modigliani Quartet has earned a place among the most popular quartets of our time, regular guest of international series and prestigious venues around the world.
The quartet performs around the world
In the seasons of 2017/18, the quartet will tour Japan, Korea, the United States with a mandatory stop at Carnegie Hall, as well as numerous concerts across Europe: at Wigmore Hall, Paris Philharmonie, Vienna Konzerthaus, Salzburg Mozarteum, Warsaw Philharmonic, and Hamburg Elbphilharmonie for its opening season. The 2015/16 Season saw the Modigliani Quartet perform in Australia, and in residency at Tokyo's beautiful Oji Hall, a temple of chamber music.
The artistic direction of the Rencontres Musicales d'Evian
In 2011 the Quatuor Modigliani created the chamber music festival of Saint-Paul de Vence and since 2014 has been the artistic director of the legendary Rencontres Musicales d'Evian, formerly directed by Mstislav Rostropovitch. Since the festival has been a remarkable success under the joint impetus of the Evian Resort and Quatuor Modigliani and is again one of the major festivals in Europe.
